AWIC Matriarch Economy Applicants
The Matriarch Economy is AWIC’s flagship platform for identifying, strengthening and advancing highimpact African solutions. Beginning in Nigeria, this implementation model is designed to catalyse a continental ecosystem where transformative ideas are connected to the capital, expertise, technology and strategic partnerships required to achieve measurable impact at scale.

Equip women with AI and future-ready digital skills, creating pathways to employment, freelancing and entrepreneurship. Provide computers and digital tools to accelerate digital inclusion and economic participation. Strengthen women-led HealthTech and community health solutions improving healthcare access and outcomes. Support climate innovation, recycling and circular economy enterprises creating green jobs and sustainable communities. Advance women-led manufacturing, enterprise and innovation through investment readiness, strategic partnerships and institutional support. Accelerate high-impact solutions addressing education, agriculture, technology and community development across Africa.

Advancing Africa’s Next Generation of Impact
As part of The Matriarch Economy, AWIC recently concluded an Institutional Review, bringing together selected founders, enterprises and impact organisations developing solutions across artificial intelligence, digital technology, healthcare, education, climate and recycling, manufacturing, agriculture and community development. Each initiative underwent a structured assessment of its vision, leadership, innovation and potential contribution to Africa’s development. Selected initiatives are now progressing through AWIC’s impact and enterprise development platform.
