Institutional Partnerships

Partnerships are selective and alignment-driven.

AWIC collaborates with corporations and institutions seeking structured visibility, strategic positioning and credible engagement within high-standard leadership ecosystems.

The Matriarch Economy

An Initiative of the African Women Impact Council

Every country that has advanced the status of women did so through institutions. Nigeria has one now.

The Matriarch Economy is an initiative,  a permanent, structured movement launched under the African Women Impact Council to mobilize women’s leadership, collective power, and institutional collaboration toward measurable, lasting impact across Nigeria and Africa.

The summit on 28 August 2026 in Abuja is the launch moment. The room where the decision is made.

The declaration that this work has begun and will not stop.

What happens beyond that evening is the real work.

You have built in silence long enough.

Nigeria is full of women who are leading institutions, growing enterprises, transforming communities, shaping policy, and driving innovation often without the visibility, the networks, or the institutional backing their work deserves.

The Matriarch Economy exists to change that Permanently.

This is your invitation  to belong. To step into a room built deliberately for women who understand that the next level requires more than individual effort. That the most powerful thing a woman can do right now is find the right partner  and build with them.

If you are a woman in governance, enterprise, finance, technology, healthcare, agriculture, media, or diplomacy, any space where your work is quietly moving Nigeria forward

This room was built for you. We are not waiting for the system to create space for us. We are building the space ourselves. And we are calling every exceptional woman in Nigeria to step into it

A Call to Every Institution, Partner, and Organisation That Believes in Africa’s Future

We will not pretend this work can be done alone.

Building a permanent institution for women’s leadership, enterprise, and development at the scale Nigeria deserves requires partners who are willing to do more than write a cheque. It requires institutions that understand what is at stake  and that are ready to put their name, their mandate, and their resources behind something that will outlast all of us.

This is not a sponsorship request. This is an invitation to co-build something consequential, to put your institution at the foundation of a movement that will be documented, reported, and referenced for years to come.

The women in this room will lead Nigeria’s next chapter. The institutions in this partnership will have helped make it possible.

AWIC is an institution already at work. Before this summit, AWIC has been on the ground training, equipping, and placing women and young Nigerians into real direct opportunity.

What The Matriarch Economy is Building

The Women’s Intelligence Directory

A permanent, structured cross-sector database connecting qualified women in leadership, governance, technology, health, finance, and commerce to the institutions that need their expertise. Built to make the question “where are the qualified women?” obsolete permanently.

The Matriarch Fund Initiative

A structured network intervention connecting vetted women-led enterprises, initiatives, and impact projects to the specific support they need financial, institutional, or strategic. Not a grant programme.

A gateway built to last.

Leadership Development & Training

Ongoing programmes equipping women at every stage ,emerging professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, and policymakers , with the tools, networks, and visibility to lead at the highest levels.

The Women of Impact Documentary Series

A media initiative documenting the women building extraordinary things quietly  placing their stories in front of the audiences, institutions, and partners that need to see them. This is not for women already in. The spot light this is for Women who should be in the spotlight

Matriarch Innovation Challenge

An annual competition where women solve Nigeria’s most pressing social and economic problems.

Innovation camps, pitch events, and awards that surface the next generation of women-led solutions.

Promote Nigeria Enterprise & Investment Initiative

A dedicated convening and platform opening Nigeria’s business landscape to international investors — facilitating B2B connections between Nigerian enterprises and foreign partners, correcting the narrative around doing business in Nigeria, and building structured pathways for cross-border trade and investment. Nigerian enterprises promoted to the world. The world invited into Nigeria’s opportunity.

More Women in Politics Programme

The More Women in Politics Programme is a strategic leadership initiative designed to increase the participation, visibility, influence, and effectiveness of women within political and public leadership spaces across Africa. NOn-Partisan Initiative

This is what it looks like when institutions stop talking about women’s advancement and start building it.

The Summit — THE Matriarch Economy 28 August 2026

The launch moment. A closed, curated gathering of 120 women selected with strategic intention across governance, enterprise, finance, technology, media, and commerce. Every seat chosen. Every conversation designed. Every session built to produce decisions.

Five interactive panels. One collective conversation. A declaration to Nigeria and to the world that the Matriarch Economy has begun.

This Is The Moment

Across Nigeria and Africa, women continue to drive enterprise creation, community development, innovation, and economic activity, while access to visibility, institutional networks, leadership opportunities, and financing remains disproportionately limited.

That gap is not a women’s problem. It is a national and continental  development problem. And it will not close on its own.

The Matriarch Economy exists to close it, through structure, through institutions, through partnership, and through the collective power of the most exceptional women Nigeria has produced.

We are asking Nigeria’s institutions to finally build with them.

This initiative will not wait. And no institution that believes in what African women are building should wait either.
